Pumpkins!

Its Fall... Its Halloween... its pumpkin season... I love it! So we found pumpkins, I mean like big pumpkins for $2.99  at our local Aldi's. My friend found them while she was out and of course we both ended up with 5 pumpkins each. So they came over and we decorated/ carved pumpkins on Wednesday.

They are super cute. I love all the pumpkins on my front porch! It just makes more excited about FALL and then CHRISTMAS!
My baby girls pumpkin, I love the OWL! She did a good job until her hand got tired of using the push pin to trace the pattern which was when she finished the first EYE! Yep it is all great and fun and the best time until they have to do the work right? Hubby and I decided we aren't even taking her out to trick and treat this year. For one, neighborhoods are nothing like they used to be and second, we will get down one street and then she is tired and ready to go home. It has never been about the candy for her. She loves the costumes and the movies and the pumpkins till they become work but Halloween is nothing like I remember when I was younger. They are kids that are not even dressed up running around getting candy and did I mention they are like 16! Seriously.... you are killing it for all the kids trying to be kids!

My pumpkin.... I painted it white with just $2 paint from Wal-Mart, added some left over flowers I had from  the fall wreaths I made last week. Hand painted a B and tada! I like it... nope I love it! I love doing different things every year. Last year I did a B out of black buttons but the craft glue did not stick and by the time Halloween rolled around it was just a pumpkin with a bow. So I had to try something else this year.

 Happy Fall!

Getting back into my cricut!

So glad I finally got my cricut back up and working. I had some issues with my design studio now working, it still will not download new cricut cartridges but I will get to that later. For now, I got a NEW cartridge from amazon the other day and it showed up yesterday which meant I went crazy last night instead of sleeping.

Look at all the cool orders I got done last night!

My cousin over at http://sweetsouthernmel.blogspot.com/?m=0 asked me to help her out on a new project for her daughters room. I can not wait to see what she does with this. It should be amazing and it will add to Lanie's room perfectly. Love the quote too!

This was done for a family member who is adding some life to a wall in her house. This will be the center point of the decor and she will be adding black and white pictures in frames around the name of her farm. I can not wait to see it done as well. I love starting a project for people and see how it ends up.

Car back window monogram for my favorite 16 year old. She just got her licence last week and along came the car :) So we have to dec it out for her. I love these letters as well.

By the way is the Calligraphy Collection cartirdge. It has 6 different fancy fonts and a lot of extra saying and decor items. Like "Merry Christmas" "Happy Birthday" "I love you" "Bride and Groom"

It is a have to have for sure. I cant wait to get my next project. Maybe I should go buy wal-mart of the cake carries and totes and just start going crazy, wait I need more vinyl.....

Headed out to see what I can get into HEHE!

Weight.... go away!

I have battled with my weight for years and years and hmmmmm years. I have never been "fit" but going through school I was very active and worked out when I could. Also in high school I was on the golf team which meant I had to walk anywhere from 4 to 9 holes a day, everyday after school. Then the craziest thing happened, I got pregnant and lost yes LOST 12 pounds during those 9 months. AND THEN... when I quit breast feeding the weight just started piling on. As fast as I could change clothes I was another size up. WOW... it was not good for me or my family, life or husband.
Here is me before I started working out

So here I am 7 years into my marriage with a very active child and I decided about two months ago that I was going to take my already full crazy life and add in an hour workout everyday and not only that I have to drive 30 min to the gym and 30 min home. OMG! So here it goes... within the last 2 months I have learned a lot, sweated a lot but have yet pleased with my weight lose. I have lost 11 pounds which is great but I have changed my eating habits, exercise habits... blah blah blah! Well here is one lesson learned.... DO NOT USE just any "weight lose" drinks. After a month and a half of working with a trainer 3 days a week and doing hour cardio the other two days, I had only lost 2 pounds!
WHAT THE HELL?
So during a frustrating work out and weigh in with my trainer I had to explain IN DETAIL, everything i eat everyday. "Mornings I start with a yogurt and then I come to the gym and work out and on my way home I drink my shakes...." He says "what shakes?" the p90x shakes, duh? Arent they like the best thing? WRONG! holy gez, after looking over the label with Mr.S I came to know I was taking in like 60 grams of sugar and like 80 of carbs! I shoudl have been gaining weight. Can you believe that? It is horrible! So I went on detox and more people should be do this detox more. I lost 7 pounds in one week. NO LIE! people with bug butts can not lie, if you dont believe me listen to the song. :) So even though I have a love/ hate relationship with Mr.S he is working his magic on me even though I have not came to really noticing it yet.

More to come. Im going to TRY to add a photo a week and depending on my viewers, I will add my work outs, recipes, and the detox.

STITCHED HEARTS!

Over the last month, I have teamed up with two other women that I have recently met and we have started a small business. Each one of us specialize in their own hobbies. Just want to show off some of the amazing work by the other ladies.
Christie does some amazing tutu sets and dresses. Her work has shown to be very creative and classy. I love her ideas. Taking tulle to a whole new level. I can not wait to see her next projects either.

Jhordan is our talented crocheter, if that is even a word! She is always coming up with her "next" project and they are always better then the last. Her work is breath taking to say the least.
She loves doing special beanies and new born outfits but you never know what else she can do. Shoes, socks, skirts, shirts.... before you know it she will have made a whole outfit.

I am the sewing one of the group. I LOVE making girls dresses and outfits. My top priority is, "If I wouldn't let my child wear it, then I am not going to let your child wear it." I sit around drawing up my next creation day in and day out. That is one reason I love being with these girls cause we can bounce ideas off one another all the time. So here is some of my work.
I hope you like what you see! You can check us out on facebook
or we in the process of getting our website up

Country Home

My kitchen windows

All I did was pick 2 different fabrics and cut them into strips  and KNOT!

Quilted "square" place mats

Love these place mats on my country table.
So moving into my new house, I had to add some new things. By adding new things... I mean MAKE new things. My house is decorated with some country details. I don't know what you would really call it. It is kinda like contempt country , I GUESS! Is that even a look? Who knows. Well I just wanted to show off some of my work.
